Any practice can enlist an Architect or an Engineer to work on their behalf which are fully managed and supervised in the Philippines at a competitive price compared to the current cost in Ireland. At present, we have one consultancy with eight employees, but most of the practices that we engage with have between 2 to 3 employees working in the Philippines on their behalf and supervised by Design-Cloud.

Design Cloud started due to increasing workloads in Ireland and the difficulty of recruiting and retaining qualified staff and others emigrating abroad. Finding a suitable remote resource was seen as an alternative option. Currently, there are a numerous practices in Ireland that currently outsource to India, China, Philippines and other EMEA countries. Design-Cloud is different in that we hire an employee on your behalf, manage that employee, provide the workspace, necessary office equipment including software, accommodation and all other facilities that is required to provide a professional service. All our staff members are fully qualified licensed professionals. They are mentored and carry out ongoing CPD training and upskilling takes place on a weekly basis with all the staff members to the Irish building standards. Depending on whether you chose to employ an Architect or an Engineer, they will be trained in the discipline of the methods of your work and ethics, and you will have a valuable input into this process.

The company consists of a multi-disciplinary team of Architects, Engineers, and Surveyors with over 40 years’ experience within the Built Environment. Chartered Engineers, Chartered Surveyors and Registered Architects and have collaborated to suit every practice in Ireland.

This is where the substantial saving will be gained. We know from our discussions with other professionals in the construction sector  that their employee turnover has increased considerably in the past few years. The benefit of outsourcing is that there is minimal input other than issuing of instructions and documentation on the necessary work to be completed. In doing so, they do not necessarily have to worry about the day to day management of the staff, the instructions, etc. Releasing management and senior staff from assignments that can now be undertaken by staff operating at a fraction of the usual costs allows you to seek out new business and concentrate on business development and growing your practice. Outsourcing to us will also increase profitability.
